Abstract

Osteoporosis is a systematic bone disease characterized by decreased bone strength, so that bones break easily (International Osteoporosis Foundation). (IOF, 2020). According to WHO (2019), osteoporosis is ranked second, behind heart disease, as the world's main health problem. According to data from the International Osteoporosis Foundation (IFO), more than 30% of women worldwide are at risk of bone fractures due to osteoporosis, even exceeding 40%. Meanwhile, in men, the risk is 13%. The incidence of fractures due to osteoporosis worldwide has reached 1.7 million people and it is estimated that this number will continue to increase until it reaches 6.3 million people in 2050. There are 75 million osteoporosis sufferers in Europe, Japan and America. population, while in China there are 84 million people, and there are 200 million osteoporosis sufferers worldwide. (Ministry of Health, 2019).
