Penyuluhan Kesehatan Tentang Dampak Pemberian Makanan Pendamping ASI Terlalu dini pada Bayi 0-6 Bulan di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Air Dingin

Abstract

Complementary foods for breast milk (MP-ASI) are supplementary foods given when the baby is 6 months old and only a companion, because breast milk is the main food. Early MP-Breastfeeding can pose a risk to the baby. Babies will get sick easily, because the baby's immunity is not perfect. As a result, feeding before 6 months invites germs to enter the baby's body. Having the opportunity to experience allergies, the cells around the intestines in babies are not ready to face the elements or nutrients consumed. There is a chance of obesity, the baby's body has not been able to carry out the process of breaking down food juices perfectly, as a result there is a chance to be obese. The purpose of this community service activity is to increase knowledge about the Impact of Breastfeeding Companion Feeding Too Early in Infants 0-6 Months in the Working Area of the Air Dingin Health Center.  This activity has been carried out for 1 day at the Posyandu Puskesmas Dingin Water. The activities carried out were in the form of counseling to mothers who have babies about the Impact of Breastfeeding Companion Feeding Too Early in Babies 0-6 Months. This community service is carried out by the method of lectures, discussions and pocket book applications. The results of this community service were enthusiastically received by the participants as seen from the number of mothers who asked about information about, Exclusive Breastfeeding, the risks that will occur if the baby is given MP breast milk too early and the treatment if the mother has already been exposed to giving MP breast milk early. It is recommended that counseling activities be carried out periodically with a wider frequency and range of information dissemination so that pregnant women, families and the community better understand the impact of Breastfeeding Complementary Feeding Too Early on Infants 0-6 Months.
