Pendidikan Kesehatan Keluarga Tentang Sanitasi Lingkungan Untuk Pencegahan Demam Dengue (Dbd) Di Wilayah UPT Puskesmas Glugur Kota Medan

Abstract

Environmental sanitasi is one of the factors that influence the incidence of diseases caused by an unhealthy environment such as Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF). DHF is the disease caused by dengue virus infection from mosquitoes. DHF can be prevented by controlling environmental hygiene which can be done by conducting health education in environmental sanitation. This study was purposed to provide an overview of health education in environmental sanitation for families who have experienced DHF. The method used descriptive research with inclusion criteria were families who have experienced DHF and willing to become respondents. The results showed that the provision of health education is the effective way to convey information to prevent DHF in the family. It is recommended that the families can apply information about prevention  of DHF.
