Abstract

Casarean section is a way of giving birth by making the incision in the uterine wall through the front of the abdomen wall or vagina, it is a hysterectomy to deliver the fetus from inside the uterus. WHO considers that the average of cesarean section is 5% to 15% as the maximum range targeted for life-saving interventions during childbirth. The treatment that can be used is by non-pharmacological techniques in the form of relaxation.The muscle relaxation is back massage therapy that can be used to treat sleep disorders by rubbing the skin gently and slowly and 3 times a day. The method used descriptive case study design by including the stages of assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, evaluation.The results after being given muscle relaxation therapy in two sectio caesarea patients who experienced lack of sleep found that the needs are fulfilled. It showed that the fulfillment of sleep needs by using muscle relaxation therapy that performed with 60 strokes per minute was useful for sleep fulfillment and sense of comfort.
