Coronary heart disease (CHD) is a term that refers to heart disease caused by decreased blood supply to the heart muscle. A decrease in blood supply to the heart muscle causes an imbalance between oxygen supply and demand. The general aim of the research is to analyze the relationship between patient lifestyle and the incidence of coronary heart disease at H. Adam Malik Hospital, Medan. This type of research is analytical research with a cross sectional research design to analyze the relationship between lifestyle and coronary heart disease at H. Adam Hospital. Malik Medan, sampling was carried out by purposive sampling, totaling 38 people. The research results showed that the relationship between smoking lifestyle and the incidence of coronary heart disease was significant with a p-value of 0.032. The relationship between alcohol lifestyle and the incidence of coronary heart disease is significant with a p-value of 0.022. The relationship between an exercise lifestyle and the incidence of coronary heart disease is significant with a p-value of 0.000. The relationship between physical activity lifestyle and the incidence of coronary heart disease is not significant with a p-value of 0.15 where the p-value is below 0.05. The relationship between an obese lifestyle and the incidence of coronary heart disease is significant with a p-value of 0.041. Create an outreach program in hospitals about preventing coronary heart disease on a regular basis every week so that it can improve patient health so that heart disease can be reduced and prevented.
