Faktor-Faktor Yang Berhubungan Dengan Terjadinya ISPA Pada Balita Di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Rambung Binjai

Abstract

Indonesia always ranks first in the cause of ISPA deaths among infants and toddlers. Apart from that, ISPA is also often on the list of the 10 most common diseases in hospitals and health centers. Many factors cause ISPA such as nutritional status, immunization status, maternal knowledge and child care. The aim of this research is to determine the factors associated with the occurrence of ISPA in toddlers. This research is an analytical survey research with a cross sectional approach. The research was conducted in the working area of ​​the Rambung Binjai Community Health Center. The research time was in January 2018. The research population was 1,047 people and the sample was 112 people. Data analysis was carried out univariate and bivariate using the chi-square test with a confidence level of 95%. Based on the research results, it shows that the factors associated with the occurrence of ISPA in toddlers in the Rambung Binjai Community Health Center working area in 2023 are nutritional status (p=0.000), immunization status (p=0.004), knowledge (p=0.002), and child care. (p=0.007). It is recommended that health workers, especially nurses, provide health counseling or education to the public, especially mothers who have toddlers, about ISPA and how to prevent it so that mothers are well informed.
