Pengaruh Terapi Benson Terhadap Skor Pengkajian Luka Maceration Undermining Necrotik Geanulation Symptoms (Mungs) Pada Pasien Ulkus Diabetes Mellitus Di RSUD dr. Pirngadi Medan

Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) prevalence of diabetes mellitus ulcers at the age of 18 years reaches 8.5%, where the highest rate is in Southeast Asia. This study aims to determine the effect of Benson therapy on maceration undermining necrotic geanulation symptoms (MUNGS) wound assessment scores in patients with diabetes mellitus ulcers at RSUD.dr. Pirngadi Medan uses quantitative research with a pre-experimental design. The sample in this study was diabetic ulcer patients with a total of 30 respondents and the sample was taken using purposive sampling. Data were collected using the MUNGS wound assessment score and Benson therapy SOP. The research results showed that the majority of pretest MUNGS wound assessment scores in diabetic ulcer patients were in the moderate category (6-10) as many as 23 people (76.7%) and posttest MUNGS wound assessment scores in diabetic ulcer patients where the majority were in the mild level (0-5) as many as 16 people (53.3%). The results of the Wilxocon statistical test obtained a value of ρ= 0.000, so p value < α (0.000 < 0.05), which means that there is an effect of Benson therapy on the wound assessment score of maceration undermining necrotic geanulation symptoms (MUNGS) in patients with diabetes mellitus ulcers at RSUD.dr. Pirngadi Medan. For further research, it is recommended to analyze the factors that influence Benson therapy on maceration undermining necrotic geanulation symptoms (MUNGS) wound assessment scores in patients with diabetes mellitus ulcers.
