Hubungan Pola Asuh Orang Tua Dengan Tingkat Keberhasilan Toilet Training Pada Anak Pra Sekolah Di Tk Yayasan Pendidikan Islam Almunawaroh Murad Medan Sunggal

Abstract

Children are the human resources of a nation. Children must live in prosperity in order to grow and develop optimally to carry out development tasks in the future. Growth and development is a continuous process from conception to maturity, which is influenced by congenital and environmental factors. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between parenting styles and the success rate of toilet training in preschool children at the Almunawaroh Murad Islamic Education Foundation Kindergarten, Medan Sunggal. This type of research is descriptive correlation. Total sampling technique, the number of samples in this study was 50 people. Based on the results of statistical tests using the Spearman Rank (Rho) test, it shows that there is a relationship between parenting patterns and the success of toilet training in pre-school children at the Almunawaroh Murad Islamic Education Foundation Kindergarten, Medan Sunggal, where P value = 0.03 (P < 0, 05) The results of the analysis also show a correlation (r) of 0.302, meaning there is a weak relationship between parenting patterns and the success of toilet training in pre-school children. It is recommended that the Community Health Center should as often as possible hold outreach related to child rearing patterns to the community in order to increase parents' understanding in caring for and educating children.
