in this world. ISPA causes nearly 4 million people to die every year. ARI is an infection caused by microorganisms including common cold, pharyngitis (inflammation of the throat), laryngitis, and uncomplicated influenza. Community behavior influences health status, especially the risk of ARI events. This type of research uses a descriptive correlation method using a cross sectional design where the researcher wants to know the relationship between behavior and the incidence of ISPA in the work area of the Lalang Village Health Center, Medan City. The population in this study was all mothers who had 44 toddlers. The sampling technique in this study was total sampling, namely taking samples from the entire population. Statistical tests using the Chi-square test obtained a value of p=0.002 (p<0.05), so it was concluded that there was a significant relationship between knowledge about ISPA and the incidence of ISPA in toddlers. p value=0.064 (p<0.05), it is concluded that there is no significant relationship between attitudes about ISPA and the incidence of ISPA in toddlers. p value = 0.001 (p <0.05), it is concluded that there is a significant relationship between actions and the incidence of ISPA in toddlers. It is recommended for respondents to keep the environment clean to avoid ISPA, especially in toddlers.
