Abstract

Asthma is an inflammatory disease of the respiratory tract that involves inflammation of the respiratory tract and disrupts air flow, and is experienced by many people. ), the number of asthma sufferers in the world is estimated at 300 million people and is expected to increase to 400 million by 2025. This number alone could be greater considering that asthma is an underdiagnosed disease according to the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA). According to reports from 2 international experts on World Asthma Day on September 4 2014, it is estimated that worldwide asthma sufferers have reached 400 million people, with an increase of 180,000 every year. Epidemiological studies in various countries regarding the prevalence of asthma show very varying figures, in Scotland 18.4%; England 15.3%; Australia 14.7%; Japan 6.7%; Thailand 6.5%; Malaysia 4.8%; South Korea 3.9%; India 3.0%. The highest prevalence of bronchial asthma is in the province of Gorontalo, namely 7.23%, and the lowest is in the province of NAD (Aceh) at 0.09%. Meanwhile, the prevalence of bronchial asthma in Lampung province is 1.45%. The low.
