Hallucinations are disturbances of sensory perception of an object, or images and thoughts that often occur without the influence of external stimuli that occur in all sensory systems. Mental nursing is a professional nursing service based on behavioral science, psychiatric nursing in humans throughout the life cycle with bio-psycho-social responses, using self and mental nursing therapy (therapeutic communication and mental health nursing modality therapy) through a nursing process approach to improve, prevent, maintain and restore mental health problems of clients (individuals, families, communities). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of implementing nursing interventions for hallucinating clients on the client's ability to control hallucinations at the Mental Hospital of North Sumatra Province. The type of research used in this research is descriptive analytic research, with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study amounted to 168 people and the sample used was 34 people with a simpler random sampling technique. The data was obtained using a questionnaire in the form of an observation sheet and analyzed using the Chisquare (X²) test. Chi Square test results obtained p value = 0.031 <0.05. This means that there is an effect of nursing intervention on the client's ability to control hallucinations at the Mental Hospital of North Sumatra Province. Researchers suggest nurses at the Mental Hospital of North Sumatra Province, to try to further improve the performance of their services, especially the provision of nursing interventions to clients
