Dukungan Keluarga Dengan Kepatuhan Diet Pada Pasien Penyakit Jantung Koroner Di Poliklinik Jantung RSU Mitra Medika

Abstract

Patients with coronary heart disease may be some obstacles in undergoing the therapy. For example, this therapy may be boring for the patients and the patients may have no time to prepare appropriate food for their dietary menu. Therefore, family support is needed in order to increase the obedience in the therapy. The objective of this research was to identify the correlation between family support and obedience in dietary therapy of patients with coronary heart disease at Heart Polyclinic of Regional Public Hospital dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh. Descriptive-explorative design with cross sectional study approach was employed in this research. A number of 45 patients were chosen as the research samples by using purposive sampling technique. The data were collected by means of interview and questionnaires with Likert. Spearman Rank Test was employed in analyzing the data that have been collected.  Hence, it is suggested that the families keep giving support to the patients. It is also suggested that the health workers give some information related to the dietary therapy. Moreover, the policy makers at Regional Public Hospital dr. Zainoel Abidin Banda Aceh are expected to facilitate the information related the dietary therapy by providing the media, such as booklet, leaflet, and poster.
