Pendidikan Kesehatan Tentang Kebutuhan Pulang (Discharge Planning) Pada Pasien Hepatitis B Di Rumah Sakit Tk II Putri Hijau Medan Tahun 2021

Abstract

Health education on discharge planning in patients with hepatitis B is the education about the disease understanding, medical procedures, routes of transmission, prevention strategies, regimental therapy procedures, side effects of antivirals, adverse events,increating activity strategies, self care strategies, maintaining lifestyle and daily activity, nutrition and diet notification, relaxation skills for stress or emotional exhaustion. The purpose of the study was to increase the patients knowledge about discharge planning needs in hepatitis B. The study used descriptive case study design on two patients with the same diagnosis, specifically lack of  knowledge and lack of information, and cognitive limitations and incomplete information. The inclusion criteria were the patients that aged 15-44 years which were given the education for 3 days. The results obtained that both patients could acquire the understanding of discharge planning needs in hepatitis B, including the patients who were obedient to the treatment process, being able to implement self care strategies, carry out lifestyle and daily activities maintenance, obedient to nutritional fulfillment and diet by using the discharge planning format sheet. Furthermore, to increase the patient knowledge about discharge planning, it is expected that both patients could apply health education on discharge planning.
