Pendidikan Kesehatan Tentang Diet Jantung Pada Pasien CHF (Congestive Heart Failure)

Congestive heart failure (CHF) is one of the main health problems in both developed and developing countries. This disease is the cause of the heart's inability to pump adequate blood to meet the tissue needs for oxygen and nutrients. This is due to lifestyle changes such as eating patterns that lead to ready-to-eat dishes that are unhealthy and unbalanced because they contain high fat, protein, and salt but are low in dietary fiber but are suspected to be a risk factor for heart disease. This research method is descriptive research in the case study design includes the stages of assessment, diagnosis, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. on two clients with CHF disease at the TK II Putri Hijau Hospital in Medan. The result after nursing intervention in patient I and patient II was health education for CHF patients. The results of health education about cardiac diet in CHF patients in 2 CHF patients obtained in patient 1 obtained data on the 3rd day, the problem of lack of knowledge could be overcome and patient 2 obtained data on the 3rd day, the problem of lack of knowledge was partially resolved. This shows that cardiac dietary health education in CHF patients is carried out for 10 to 20 minutes in CHF patients who have nutritional disorders.
